In today’s property market new homes in good locations sell swiftly – so it’s always wise to be first in the queue and reserve off-plan. All six homes at MJH Executive Homes’ Summerfold Place in Burgess Hill were ‘snapped up’ in a very short time – but home buyers, Marco and Tina Del Pizzo were first in line and able to choose the plot they preferred.
Indeed, it was something of a relief when Marco and Tina Del Pizzo discovered MJH Summerfold Place. At the time, having sold their former home, they were staying with their daughter in a one-bedroom apartment whilst they searched for a new home in Sussex or Kent.
“We sold our house over a year ago but we’d had a bad experience when an earlier sale fell through so we decided to wait until we’d completed on our sale before searching for a new home,” comments Marco. “We weren’t looking in any specific area. As we’re both retired we were flexible in our choice of location – as long as we were within easy travelling distance of our daughters; one of whom lives in Surrey and the other in Whitstable.”
Marco and Tina noticed Summerfold Place on an online property portal and decided to visit the development which comprises just six detached and semi-detached homes, each with a garage and garden, in a cul-de-sac location.
“When we arrived, we were able to view the newly-built show home and the shell of the home we were to buy had been built. We thought the show home was impressive and we chose the largest home – a four-bedroom detached house,” adds Marco. “The MJH Homes’ team was very helpful throughout and the whole buying experience proved to be as good as it could be.”
The Del Pizzos are no strangers to newly built homes as Marco explains:
“Every home we have moved to has been a new-build. We have looked at pre-owned property but these often need investment in terms of time and money to get everything how you’d like it. The MJH homes at Summerfold Place are well finished and we selected a few extras. The location is lovely and handy for everything.”
“All the homes at Summerfold Place have been sold but we have forthcoming developments planned for East and West Sussex, including Horsham and East Preston,” comments Mike Hartnett, Managing Director of MJH Executive Homes. “We have a database of people waiting for details of forthcoming developments and we would advise home buyers looking for new homes in these areas to register their details to ensure they receive details as soon as these are released.”
